So I finally got Helen Trevillion’s Inside Myself CD. I’d been waiting for months for her to get more made, and I finally has it. Yay!
It’s everything I could have possibly expected and more. Mom even doesn’t mind it. Review coming soon…maybe. We can hope so, anyways.
Sorry I’ve been neglecting the blog to an absurd [...]

Via Wayne, who in turn got it via Sharon.
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
1 Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
2 The Lord of the Rings - JRR Tolkien
3 Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte
4 Harry Potter series - JK Rowling
5 [...]

I never thought I’d have the minister leaving me nagging blog comments. She’s really getting up to date with this computer stuff. I don’t mind, I just found it kind of surprising.
But…that’s not why I was originally here to post. What I was going to say is that the good new is that I’ve finished [...]

In addition to adding no real features of note and not delivering on the improvements in resource consumption that were promised (it may be better, but it’s still a memory hog), Firefox 3 broke my sidebar - apparantly over an objection to the h2 tag. I’ve got it more or less fixed, at least for [...]

Would ever attempt something like this. Prepare to behold the horror of Nightwish’s song Dead to the World played on accordion. I don’t know why either.

Because now it’s mosquito season, and I have at least five bites…probably more.

Guy Fieri doesn’t know what American chop suey is! This is an outrage. Well, at least he didn’t until having it at a New Hampshire restaurant (no, I don’t remember off hand - give me a break). Of course, I can’t say as I actually like the stuff - it’s one of those meals I [...]

Is nothing sacred anymore? Why did the History channel feel the need to get so damned political??? Is there no escape from this madness? I mean, that’s what you’re supposed to be able to watch while there’s nothing on without it being actually involving, basically as background noise. This is absurd!
PS: Yes, I did write [...]

Who would have thought of doing an electronic cover of “I Think We’re Alone Now”? Well apparently those crazy members of The Birthday Massacre would. The weirdest part is, it’s actually good - really good.

So, what does everyone think of the site design. I’m seriously contemplating changing the theme, although I don’t really have anything in mind other than maybe less blue. At the very least, I’d like to redo the banner. Codeman had a nice one he was working on at one point, but it just needed a [...]

I’m now upgraded to the newest version of WordPress (long overdue) courtesy of Jay. The bad news is, they completely redid the dashboard interface and it was so, so, so incredibly much better before. I guess I’ll go with it, though - nothing I can do. I’ll probably get used to it after a while [...]

That rant about people being stupid was not directed at any of you (meaning anyone who should be reading this), especially not grandparents. Give me a break here *sighs*. You’re all wonderful people.
Update: You guys can’t see that anymore, right? Just making sure private posts are actually working. Of course, there not that private since [...]

More to help remind me of what I’m supposed to be working on than because anyone actually cares - here’s a brief list of what I need to work on in blogging related stuff:
Review: Unexpect - In A Flesh Aquarium
Status: Started, but not very far along
Review: Forever Slave - Tales for Bad Girls
Status: I’ve listened [...]

So apparantly a certain uncle I don’t actually have is still complaining about a certain post that never happened on a blog that doesn’t exist, even though if said post had ever existed on said fictitious blog it would have been gone for most of a day now, that is if it ever existed, which [...]

So I went to edit the profile on one MySpace page, but since my cookies had been cleared it redirected me to login. So instead of logging back in, I accidentally log in with the information for my other profile, which is saved in Firefox, and it lets me back on the edit page for [...]

The Emilie Autumn signed Your Sugar Sits Untouched poetry book and accompanying CD, the last seven of which just finished being sold on eBay, simply because I didn’t have $400 to spend on it. I was fine up to $350, convinced myself up to $375 but just couldn’t make the $25 leap to $400 even. [...]

If you decide to read my (draft) short story I wrote last semester for PHYS199: Science Fiction Science. I know there’s some errors I haven’t fixed, but you can deal with it. And it has the most absurd cliff hanger ending since I kind of just stopped writing it when I’d met the minimum requirements.

In that my pattern really runs towards go four-five days posting nothing, post a whole bunch in one day, go more days posting nothing…and so on. I should commit to doing at least one post per day, it just never seems like there’s anything actually worth posting about. Oh, and my Comp102 teacher…I think Makokian [...]

To the two people who have had their comments awaiting moderation forever. I kind of hadn’t checked the comment queue in a while, doh! The one on “Completely, Utterly Screwed” is actually worth going back there for, that’s like second page now. Need to check that more often.

Ridiculously out of date stuff, here’s a picture of my pwnage NiGHTS pumpkin from Halloween that I never got around to posting. It looks better lit up, but overall came out really good.

Aforementioned draft post reads as follows. It was pending a re-photo shoot since these ones turned out really bad, and I kind of wanted to write a formal review, though suffice to say it’s the best album ever created. Anyways:
I actually bought a CD for the first time in many years. Not a cheap one [...]

I actually had cause to use the new integrated AIM client that rests in the Gmail inbox. I had it all set up before, but had never actually received a message in it. It’s a serious case of neat concept but completely impractical. I guess it works for short conversation, but in all reality it [...]

With the word genre? According to Dad, music now has a “gender,” while Marc says it something like “jen-ree.” No wonder school system is going down the drain.

I’m actually hungry now, but there’s nothing I can really eat easily with the state of my mouth. Ugh!

What’s a good rule of thumb for dealing with things of potentially questionable legality in blogging? Specifically, I meant dealing with hacking. Is this alright to discuss, or is it better to just leave it alone. Actually the item in question isn’t illegal at all, just morally questionable, but I’m just asking as a general [...]

Dad got me a computer that someone he knows was getting rid of. It’s actually pretty nice, though I can’t build an arcade cabinet out of it (not like I have the space to store it anyways, but I still want one) since Dad wants it to use. It’s got a moderately bad malware (why [...]

I’m having my wisdom teeth taken out on Monday, meaning I’ll probably be miserable for quite a while. They actually haven’t been bothering me much since the last time I mentioned it, but I suppose it has to get done.
I tried working on the church website today and so far it looks like shit. My [...]

Seriously, I haven’t posted anything in forever. There’s a whole series of gaming related posts that need to be written, but I’ve just been too lazy. In short Amplitude (PS2) is amazing (and well worth the $10 it goes for at GameStop), Super Mario Galaxy is unsurprisingly amazing, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is good, not [...]

My damned wisdom tooth is coming in where there isn’t space for it and it hurts like hell. Of course, it’s not like I’ve been reminding Mom to make me an appointment since before Thanksgiving. At first there was a problem with the insurance not wanting to pay for it, but that’s been settled for [...]

I just found something I’d put on a CD (years ago) with the intention of making fun of. It’s from an advertisement for Verizon DSL advertising it as 768 kiloBYTES. Damn, I wish I could get that much Internet speed for a low monthly rate (for the non-technical users, the appropriate term would be kilobits [...]
