Yes, so it’s been neglected of late - I apologize. So, what’s going on?
In videogames:
Well, first of - Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines running under Vista, with proper widescreen…FINALLY! What a pain in the neck that was. And, since I lost my savegame that was 2/3 of the way through the game - I’m playing it again, from the beginning. And it’s still just as addictive as the first time, only easier cause I remember most of how things happen, and even some of the logons and whatnot. So that’s basically become a total life-suck, and it’s really nice that it actually runs well at full resolution, even without having to close out of every last background task that might be running. And it loads so much faster now, too. Yay for 2GB RAM!
Beyond that, Beats for PSP is a lot of fun - and I’ve been playing some old GBA games on PSP as well…since there’s really not much better to do with it. Still cool, though - nothing wrong with old games. Not really as much of the active gamer as I once was. Oh, and I played GTA4 at Codeman’s - which rather rocks. So now I’m waiting patiently (OK, impatiently) for the PC release. Unfortunately, that’s one of those things that is just more fun on consoles, but I guess I’ll have to live through it.
In music:
I’ve acquired a healthy obsession with Regina Spektor. The soundtrack from Repo! The Genetic Opera is surprisingly good - might have to pick up a real copy of that, and certainly planning on picking up the DVD when it’s out. Tarja (Turunen) is apparently already working on her new album, probably in an attempt to beat Nightwish to the punch - since they’re concerned with the fans enough to go on a very extensive tour before working on their next one. Judging by the fact that it’s apparently supposed to have a song called, “Crying Moon” - I’m guessing it’s going to be just as silly and generic as My Winter Storm…oh well. Even if it’s no better written, I guess we can hope it’s at least better produced. On the good side, her Christmas album - Henkรคys Ikuisuudesta - is still a masterpiece, and it’s getting to be close to the right time of year for it…even though I’ve already listened to it twice (blame Sui). Joanna Newsom has progressed from artist I can’t stand to absolute favorite - after the fourth or fifth time listening to her, I finally managed to get used to her voice and the lyrics are simply incomperable (clip from Emily)…and the fact that she’s gorgeous has nothing to do with it
. I started listening to Gary Hughes’ Once And Future King Part I, but despite featuring an interesting selection of vocalists (Lana Lane, DC Cooper, Sabine Edelsbacher) it’s just…boring, I changed to something else after four tracks. I guess I’ll get back to it eventually. There’s more I could go into…but I guess that covers the basics for the moment.
In television:
Heroes season 3 is suberb. If you’re not watching it, what the heck is wrong with you??? The new season of House is…mediocre compared to last, but still worth watching if you’re a fan. Or maybe it’s just that I have not much better to do.
In school:
Umm…it’s school - what did you expect? Same stuff as always…
In random:
Tainted Teatime - A Muffin Opera!!! Further proving the power of obsession and too much spare time. Interested members of the EA fan forum can find the topic under Mad Musicians (under Other Mad Melodies). Yet another of my many projects, will it finish…no one knows.

Agree totally on Heroes, at least after the last episode when it really fell into place how it’s going.
We’ve really lost interest in House. You’re right on that, too, if we’re any indication, though in fact we haven’t watched much besides the episode that had Felicia Day in it.
Chuck is Chuck. I thought they’d draw out the new Intersect destroyed thing to take up the season, but Chuck is all about convoluted, unexpected, and being its own surreal reality. It’s don’t miss for us.
Life is must see, but really you’d want to hop online and watch all the last season to catch the overarching mystery and partial resolution of same that set up to continue the broad ark this season. Which feels like it may be a short one as they seem to be in a hurry to finish the master plot and it’s been relegated to the Friday death slot, but we’ll see. They did try to boost it first by associating it with Heroes, and if they’d kept it after Heroes they’d have had truly Must See Monday.
Avoided getting into anything else, though we’re curious to see what they do to finalize ER. These days more likely to watch old stuff or independent stuff online. Heck, someone loaned us 1st season of BSG and we have yet to watch any of it. Darn kids.
I like Fringe. Its a better version of the X files so far.
The Dr is a great.
Heroes is great also..
Other then that I haven’t bothered to watch anything. I would like to see the new vampire show in HBO but not enough to pay for HBO.
Need to watch last nights Heroes online now because our cable company doesn’t have a contract with NBC right now so can’t show it.. blah.
