Do-Do-Do-Doooooot Doot-Do-Do

So, today I saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (long enough name?) and it was good. Not a fantastic, jaw dropping film - but more than good enough that you probably won’t be disappointed. Sure, it’s a little far-fetched (OK, occasionally very much so) but, I mean, this is Indiana Jones - no one’s expecting realism. Despite the switch from Nazis to communists, it’s still the same basic idea as ever - Indy gets captured by the bad guys, escapes, gets captured again, escapes again, follows the clues, finds the treasure, the bad guy tries to take it, the bad guy dies - but there’s enough variety and crazy action sequences to make it as interesting as…well as interesting as an Indiana Jones movie (and by that I mean one of the better two). It’s everything you’d expect, and maybe even just a little bit more. Certainly a good movie and a very welcome return (that’s obviously setting itself up for another sequel) and the ending is really good. It’s as exciting and adventure filled as ever and is certainly worth seeing, at least as a matinĂ©e, though it’s nothing you’ll die without seeing before the DVD release.
Oh, and the trailer for Hellboy II: The Golden Army looks really good.

I can’t wait for Hellboy II. I loved the first one.
Still need to go see indy 4 Maybe this weekend.
Hellboy II should be good. I like how the movie captured the Communist scare. People keep using it’s lack of realism (he can’t survive a nuclear blast) as a reason to degrade the movie, even though the original three were highly unrealistic as well. The ending was a tad disappointing, they return the skulls so the creepy Russian girl gets her head melted, some reward XD
