Cats Are On The Upgrade
Written by Pacdan
Our DSL seems to be registering at 3 Mbps, rather than our standard 1.5. This is actually what we’re paying for, but the original word was that it’s not available in our area, and thus we only have the 1.5 Mbps service. I don’t know if this is a fluke or a permanant change, but either way I’m not complaining. Speeds seem to only be around 250 KB per second, as opposed to about 180 before. It should technically be higher, but I’m definitely not complaining (not to mention that it could just be the servers, as I haven’t done a proper speed test). It’s no FIOS, but still very cool.
Update: Yup, Houston - we’ve got highspeed.
