It’s Craptastic!

Over at ArsTechnica they’ve got a report that Comcast is not only interferring with Bittorrent traffic, which was bad enough, but also  Gnutella and umm…Lotus Notes (WTF?). Good idea Comcast, you save small amounts of bandwidth at the expense of losing, oh little things like, your entire frigging customer base. Because after all people don’t pay for (extremely overpriced) Internet access to actually use the Internet, they pay for you to tell them what to do. Whose stupid idea was this? Actually who would actually pay absurd amounts of money for Comcast Internet service, which was already god-awful even before this. Some people must be really stupid (or not have DSL available, monopolies FTL). This is why we need net neutrality regulation people, so get off your asses, stop taking bribes donations, and make this happen. It should be a complete non-issue. There is not reason not to enforce net neutrality, except for ISPs to make more money (capitalism sucks). If our government was really doing their job, their would never have even been second thoughts on the issue. No one wants to be censored restricted just so that a major corporation with an awful advertising campaign can make even more money by providing even shittier service than they do now. It’s common sense people. Our government was made to speak the voice of people, not corporations. Corruption is such a wonderful disease. What’s next, restricting blog traffic cause we use too much bandwidth? We need to send out the message that we won’t take it. The day I can’t do what I want on the Internet is the day I stop using it (OK, maybe not - but something has to be done). It’s amazing how low the country that was founded on the ideals of government, “…of the people, by the people, for the people,” has gone. Now the whole point of government is to make money. I think it’s time for a second American Revolution. Except that people now are too lazy, worthless, and peace loving to ever do anything. That’s what’s wrong with this country, people are too determined to just let everything be, and throw a fit when someone (like the president) actually tries to do anything. Well guess what, when the government is installing cameras in your home and you no longer have the right to vote, it was your own damned fault for electing these people and letting them get away with this stuff. If we can’t even maintain control of our own government, I can’t even imagine what will happen when someone tries to fully invade us (and trust me, if we don’t make a definitive stand it will happen). The damned Democrats will probably be like, “Welcome to America! Would you like some free money? All you’ve got to do is keep us in power.” Isn’t corruption a wonderful thing?
