Capitol Records vs. Jammie Thomas actually resulted in a conviction??? What the *censored* is wrong with these people??? Every single person on that jury should be shot, right *censored*ing now! And $9,250 in damages per song? Last I checked that’s not what a god damned song is worth! A song produced by a major record label is worth exactly the following: $0.00. Anyone who actually buys a CD is basically just making a charity donation to the RIAA. The record labels can smell their death, and those idiots have just helped them to prolong their miserable existence. This has nothing to do with their copyrights, it’s about them trying to protect their obsolete business model of exploiting both the artists and the consumers. Not to mention that this validates the ridiculous assertion that an IP address can be definitively tracked down to an individual person, even though anyone with an ounce of sense would throw that out the window in a second. Who the fuck are these idiots on the jury, and who allowed them to be born??? You may have won the battle RIAA, but we will win the war.
So here’s the lesson: don’t buy the RIAA’s shit. Don’t download it either, just avoid it like the plague.
